Sure, winter’s hard, but it’s not too bad,
This one is better than the last because that was the worst I’ve had.
Are things any better now? It’s doubtful. It’s just different.
Ice still makes the same sound when you step on it.
And I’m somebody too, who’s just doing the things I do.
I tell my cats that everything’s alright.

I’m like a ghost haunting my own life:
Flushing toilets; opening cupboards; treading through doorways and turning on lights.
The wind makes the glass crackle and shake,
